1. What is CCIH?

Contra Costa Interfaith Housing, Inc. is a nonprofit, charitable human services agency dedicated to ending the trauma of homelessness for residents of Contra Costa County.

A U.S.A. Today report on homelessness found that Contra Costa County has the eleventh-highest homeless population in the nation.

3. How does CCIH help the homeless? 

Working with many community partners and inter-faith communities, CCIH helps create affordable permanent housing and provides quality support services to our tenants.

4. Where are CCIH programs located?

Garden Park Apartments is located in Pleasant Hill.  Bella Monte Apartments is located in Bay Point and Los Medanos Village in Pittsburg.

5. Who is eligible for housing at Garden Park Apartments?

Families must be homeless, have a very low income, and have one adult with a disability.

6. How much is the rent at Garden Park Apartments?

Families pay 30% of their gross incomes.

7.  Who is eligible for housing at Bella Monte Apartments and Los Medanos Village

Families with low-incomes are eligible to live at these apartment complexes.

8. Is the housing permanent?

Tenants hold a lease and can stay permanently as long as they obey the provisions of the lease.

9. What support services does CCIH provide?

CCIH provides an array of services including: mental health and family relations support; crisis intervention; referrals to health and social services in the community; life skills coaching; academic assistance and tutoring.

10. Are support services free?

On-site services are free to tenants.

11. What are your future plans?

CCIH is actively working to develop a second permanent supportive housing program for the homeless families with special needs in our community.
